Free NFL Betting Picks Week 2 from Expert Pro Football Handicapper

$60 in Free Picks

Week 2 of the NFL season is here. I will be posting some Week 2 NFL Survivor Pool picks in the morning on Thursday, and we will release our official picks on Friday this week as no one on our expert panel has a pick for the Denver at Kansas City game on Thursday. You have to sign up for our newsletter on the left hand side of this blog to get the official picks.

While I went only 3-3 for my Week 1 picks, I did make a nice profit of +$170 since both of my big plays won (Jets and Giants; thank you, New York!). I will offer these free picks each week during the pro football season on this blog. The picks will be ranked between 1 and 3 units, with each unit representing a $100 bet (we will factor in the juice to all results). I have been handicapping the NFL for years and consider this my strongest sport, so feel free to follow along and maybe we can both make some money this season.

We highly recommend using Bovada Sportsbook, and they have some amazing bonus deals for first-time clients when you sign up through our Web site (Click Here). We can’t recommend this Sportsbook enough. All lines in this article come from Bovada.

Free NFL Betting Picks Week 2

Pick No. 1

3-Unit Straight Bet

Kansas City -3 over Denver

I have to tell you right off the bat that I am a lifelong Kansas City Chiefs fan. A die hard. However, this does not affect my betting and handicapping one bit. In fact, I probably bet against the Chiefs 70 percent of the time that I wager on games involving them. Some of my largest wagers ever have been against Kansas City. But I think this year’s version of the team is the best since the 1990s. I think they are very undervalued right now. Of course, the Broncos have dominated this series since Peyton Manning came to town (6-0). But with this being the home opener at Arrowhead Stadium and the Broncos seemingly not as good as in recent years, I think this is a great spot to get that money off their back. This is my largest wager of the NFL season thus far, and I will put my money where my mouth is on this one as I think the Chiefs roll. Pick No. 2

2-Unit Straight Bet

Buffalo +1.5 over New England

I am kicking myself for not taking the Bills last week as I had a lean on them, and of course they dominated the Colts at home. When Bills coach Rex Ryan was in New York his teams always played the Pats tough, and I think that will carry over during this time in Buffalo. Last week I played nearly all of my Survivor Pool picks on New England. I was actually glad to get them out of the way early and advance because I am a true believer in the Super Bowl hangover, and I think this team will be prone to a couple big upsets this year. Of course, this would not be a big upset as the spread is small, but I think Buffalo is for real this season and think this is one of the top teams in the AFC that will be primed to take a shot at their main opposition to the division crown. Pick No. 3

1-Unit Straight Bet

Tampa Bay +10 over New Orleans

Sometimes there is no better value in NFL betting than taking a team that played horribly the week before and banking on them improving in their next game against an inflated line. I think that will be the case for Tampa Bay here. I just thought this line was a little too large and expected maybe 7.5 or something in that range. It’s not like the Saints looked great in their double-digit loss on Sunday, either. Tampa looked about as bad as a team can look, but they will probably try to play a more conservative game here and will try and take the pressure off rookie QB Jameis Winston and also concentrate on a stronger defensive effort and running the ball more on offense . I think this one will be closer than most expect. You can get this game at Bovada and take advantage of their awesome first-time signup deals. Sign up here.

Pick No. 4

1-Unit Straight Bet

Houston +3 over Carolina

Like I stated earlier, I am a big believer in Kansas City this season. So I don’t think that Houston is as bad as they looked last Sunday. Even though Carolina got a big win, they did not impress me against Jacksonville, and I expect a much tougher game for them here. This one should be very low-scoring, and you just have to take the points here as I think this one is a coin flip even with Houston being the road team. So taking the points is the only way to go here, in my opinion. Click here to get stated with Bovada today. They make it very easy for new bettors as they cater to mostly newbies!

Pick No. 5

2-Unit Straight Bet

Indianapolis -7 over New York Jets

The Colts looked awful in their Week 1 blowout loss at Buffalo. As I stated earlier, I think Buffalo is Legit. Yes, I meant to write a capital L there. So I don’t think that this loss was the end of the world for Indy. This will be their home opener, and with a strong performance from Andrew Luck and company that Buffalo loss will be way back in the rearview mirror. Before last week I thought this line would be double-digits. I like the Jets more than most this season because they are a veteran team. But I think they are outmatched here and that this game has a very good chance for a blowout. First time betting online?
