Week 3 NFL Survivor Pool Picks and Advice: Official Selections from Three Former Winners

$60 in Free Picks

We decided to scrap the newsletter as it took too much time to put together and myself and Kyle McCarthy both work full-time jobs and run this site as a hobby, so we just didn’t have the time to make it all work. So we will post our official picks on our homepage every Thursday from here on out. This week looks pretty tough although we are confident in our picks for the week. If we have any updates to these picks we will repost on Saturday – remember to always send in your picks on Saturday in order to stay ahead of any late-breaking injury news.

Also, for SurvivorPoolPicks.com readers, we have a great offer as Doc’s Sports has allowed us to offer our readers $60 worth of members’ picks from any handicapper on their Web site – you won’t have to deal with a salesman and no credit card is needed (they just want to give you a chance to try the service). Each expert will use four Survivor Pool cards over the course of the season. Once a team loses then that card will be dead and it will be noted in the string. We always advise to use multiple cards, and we normally play four entries in our main Survivor Pool, so we will be using the same picks that we will be playing ourselves.
Our esteemed colleague Geoff Jenkins lost one card on Seattle last week but otherwise we came out of Week 2 pretty good and we hope for similar results here with our Week 3 NFL Survivor Pool picks.

Without further ado, here are our Week 3 NFL Survivor Pool picks and advice:

Jeremy Martin

Week 2: Arizona

Week 2: Carolina
Week 3: Miami
Card 4:

Week 2: Carolina
Week 3: Tampa Bay

Analysis: The Dolphins are going to be a massive pick this week in Survivor Pools for Week 3 so I am going to try and diversify a bit as I am pretty confident the Bucs will bounce back in their home opener against the hapless Rams, who have scored a grand total of nine points on the season. I don’t like a lot of the other favorites on the board here like Dallas and Green Bay, so I decided to go with Tampa Bay, who I am more confident in. I went back and forth all week on whether to use Miami for three cards but decided to split them evenly as I’m pretty confident in Tampa Bay. Go State of Florida!

Analysis:
We like three teams returning for their home openers this week after opening the season with back-to-back road games. In particular we like the Florida teams this week for our NFL Survivor Pool cards as visiting teams tend to struggle with the humid weather early in the season when traveling to Florida. We will take Miami in on two cards as they take on a hobbling Cleveland Browns team that is down to rookie third-string QB Cody Kessler and also lost budding rookie WR Cory Coleman to a broken wrist. We also like Tampa Bay, who returns home after getting taken to the woodshed against Arizona, but we expect Tampa Bay to show a spirited effort against the offensively-challenged Los Angeles Rams travelling across a couple time zones for this one. On our last card we are taking Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers against the Detroit Lions. The Lions have a couple injuries on the D-Line that opens things up for Eddie Lacy and the rest of the Packers offense. The Lions finally won after 20+ years in Lambeau last season. Expect a new losing streak to start.
