NFL Survivor Pool Picks Week 11: Opening Line Report

$60 in Free Picks

Week 10 saw a couple minor upsets and a close call or two, but most NFL Survivor Pool contestants that are still alive probably advanced to Week 11. The Jets lost to Tampa Bay and the Packers upset the Bears, but other than that it was a pretty chalk week. And you had no business picking the favorites in those two upsets anyhow as there were much better choices on the board last week!

So congratulations to you if you are still alive in your Survivor Pool heading into Week 11! We are in the home stretch now.

Week 11 NFL Survivor Pool Picks: Opening Lines

Pittsburgh -7 vs. Tennessee (Thursday): The Steelers have been shaky this season at times, but they normally play well at home. They are coming off a near bad loss against the Colts on Sunday. These Thursday games normally favor the home team but the short week of preparation can also hurt the favored squad, and that is why I normally stay away from these games. Most have already used the Steelers already, but I do think they will win this game.

Kansas City -10 at NY Giants: This will probably be the most popular pick for Week 11 for those that haven’t used the Chiefs yet. I am a big KC fan, and this game definitely scares me. This line is probably inflated because Chiefs Coach Andy Reid always does well coming out of the bye. But I was in New York this week and the press really got on the Giants for their lack of effort against the 49ers on Sunday, and I would not be surprised to see an inspired performance here. And the Chiefs defense has looked really bad lately. I do think KC pulls this out, but I will probably be taking the underdog plus the points here.

Jacksonville -7.5 at Cleveland: I have been a big believer that going 0-16 is harder to do than having an undefeated season. But the Browns just look so incompetent and bad that it is hard to see them winning a game this year. However, I do think the Jags are getting a tad bit overrated and QB Blake Bortles is a dumpster fire and is holding this team back. And you get the feeling that if the Browns do win a game it will be at home against an overrated squad like this.

New Orleans -7.5 vs. Washington: This matchup looks pretty good for Survivor Pools. I think the Saints have proven that they are legit. They have won seven straight, many in blowout fashion, but the level of competition hasn’t always been great. The Redskins enter having lost three of four, but these guys have played a brutal schedule and this squad is better than their record would indicate. I do think the Saints are the better team, however, and being at home will help them get by this opponent.

LA Chargers -4.5 vs. Buffalo: Chargers QB Philip Rivers is in concussion protocol this week. So if you like Los Angeles for your Survivor Pool pick then make sure he is playing before you submit your selection. Even if he does play I don’t like this pick. The Bills looked really bad last week, but this team can look like a whole different squad from week to week. And the Chargers normally play every game to the final minutes. I will probably be taking Buffalo plus the points here, so I would advise to stay away from LA for Survivor Pool picks.

New England -7 at Oakland (Mexico): I normally advise to stay away from these international contests because the long travel and change of routine for the players can cause chaos. But the Patriots are the type of team that can handle the adversity better than most. And this travel isn’t as insane as when teams play in England. I think the Pats are a very solid Week 11 NFL Survivor Pool pick for those that still have them available.
