Week 13 NFL Survivor Pool Picks: Official Predictions from Former Winners

$60 in Free Picks

Wow! 14 of 16 favorites won in Week 12. I think that this year is going to see a lot of Survivor Pool competitors make it all the way through Week 17. My pool still has 12 people left, including myself, and there have been only two people knocked out in the last few weeks. But parity is real in the NFL, and that probably means that we are due for some major upsets this week. Be sure to do your homework on all the matchups if you are still alive!

Week 13 NFL Survivor Pool Picks

Jeremy Martin

Best Big Favorite

Green Bay vs. Houston: The Packers looked like the team we have become used to when they destroyed Philly on the road on Monday Night Football. Every year there is a good team that struggles early in the season and then turns it on during the stretch run, and it looks like Green Bay could be that team. This is a squad that many Survivor Pool players could still have available. We think they are a very solid pick this week and second only to New England in my mind. Unfortunately, I have already used Green Bay and will probably roll with Seattle this week.

Under-the-Radar Pick

Chicago vs. San Francisco: Don’t laugh, but I almost considered taking the Bears this week. These are two bad teams, but I think that Chicago is the better team and they are at home. We are starting to get to the point of the season where not a lot of matchups are available, and although I won’t be picking the Bears this week I think they will win the game. I am sure they are available to all Survivor Pool players!

Stay Away

Denver at Jacksonville: Before the Sunday night game I was seriously considering the Broncos for my NFL Survivor Pool picks Week 13, but after that marathon of a physical game vs. Kansas City I want no part in them now. I actually think the Jags have a great chance to win this one now. I have bet on Jacksonville and Atlanta because I think both the Broncos and Chiefs are in for a letdown after that epic Sunday night battle in Denver.

Best Big Favorite

Green Bay vs. Houston: Aaron Rodgers looked like his old self vs. a Philadelphia team that has played extremely well at home this year. Meanwhile, Houston QB Brock Osweiler continues to struggle in his first full season as a starting QB. Houston’s secondary has been solid this year. However, no one buys more time to throw then Aaron Rodgers. We are siding with Green Bay in a must in a must-win for the Packers.

Under-the-Radar Pick

New York Jets vs. Indianapolis: The Jets played well vs. the Patriots last week and had a chance to win. Jets QB Ryan Fitzpatrick has stopped being bad Ryan Fitzpatrick and is being much more conservative with the football. The Jets rushing attack is also rounding into form and should find success vs. a weak Colts D. The Jets front seven will put pressure on Colts QB Andrew Luck, who returns from a concussion. Indy WR TY Hilton is a little dinged up. Jets will be happy to get a much-needed win at home.

Stay Away

Pittsburgh vs. New York Giants: The Giants D will prove to be much tougher competition for the Steelers, who have played back-to-back games vs. the Cleveland Browns and the Indianapolis Colts (without Andrew Luck), so of course the offense looked good. Giants D has quietly become a bend-but-don’t-break unit and has only let Washington put more than 24 points up, and that was in Week 3. Giants may surprise a lot of folks this week.
