There are upsets every week in the NFL, but these pools are designed for the conservative player. You want to pick upsets sparingly. If you are down big in your pool in the final weeks of the NFL season then that is a time to go crazy with the upsets, but slow and steady normally wins this kind of race.

Each week of the 2016-17 NFL season, Kyle McCarthy and myself will provide our predictions for pro football Confidence Pools exclusively on SurvivorPoolPicks.com. We rank our top expert picks in order from the strongest to the weakest each week of the NFL season. Check back next week for NFL Week 12 Confidence Pool picks.

NFL Confidence Pool picks Week 11 from Expert Pro Football Handicappers

 Jeremy Martin

  1. New England over San Francisco
    2. Pittsburgh over Cleveland
    3. Seattle over Philadelphia
    4. Carolina over New Orleans
    5. Kansas City over Tampa Bay
    6. Dallas over Baltimore
    7. Indianapolis over Tennessee
    8. New York Giants over Chicago
    9. Buffalo over Cincinnati
    10. Houston over Oakland
    11. Washington over Green Bay
    12. Miami over Los Angeles
    13. Arizona over Minnesota
    14. Jacksonville over Detroit

Analysis: The Steelers are my top pick for Week 11 NFL Survivor Pools. But if I had New England available I would probably pick them. Despite the Sunday loss to the Seahawks, this will probably be my No. 1 pick for Confidence Pools every week unless they have everything sewn up in Week 17. They are just the best team in the league and the most consistent. I do like a couple upsets this week. I took Houston over the Raiders in Mexico on Monday night and think that the Jags might be able to spring the upset against Detroit, although that is my lowest-rated pick for the week.

Kyle McCarthy

  1. New England over San Francisco
    2. Pittsburgh over Cleveland
    3. Kansas City over Tampa Bay
    4. Arizona over Minnesota
    5. Dallas over Baltimore
    6. NY Giants  over Chicago
    7. Detroit over Jacksonville
    8. Carolina over New Orleans
    9. Miami over Los Angeles
    10. Cincinnati over Buffalo
    11. Indianapolis over Tennessee
    12. Seattle over Philadelphia
    13. Washington over Green Bay
    14. Oakland over Houston

Analysis: Our top pick again is a team taking on the San Francisco 49ers. This time it is the New England Patriots turn. The Pats will be without Gronk for this game, but we do not expect much of a fight from the hapless 49ers. We also like Pittsburgh to lay it o the Cleveland Browns after a tough loss at home to the Dallas Cowboys. No major upsets on this card, but I am picking the Colts off their bye week to take down the hot Tennessee Titans.
